Google+ Developers Announce a Game Zone for the Social Networking site

Google+ is being integrated with a new gaming feature. Games such as Bejeweled and thousands of other games will be on the site. The design will be somewhat as the games on Facebook.

Microsoft unveils Windows 8

In an earlier press release, Microsoft announced their new computers software, Windows 8. By the looks of the photographs, the new laptops include a touch feature. The display of the software also compares to the display of the Windows Phone. Although the release date wasn’t announced yet, more details will be coming out within the next few weeks.

Apple announced as the largest smartphone manufacturer.

Announced yesterday, Apple has beaten Samsung in sales as the largest smartphone manufacturer. The results are astounding in my opinion, considering Samsung has so many different types of phones and how Apple has one, the iPhone. This chart represents the Top 5 sales around the world:

WIMM Labs introduces tiny wearable computer platform

WIMM Labs has announced their new computer platform-based watch. At first glance, the device may look like an iPod Nano, but packs in a whole new set of ideas to the regular wristwatch. Developers of the shiny gadget have already started to create apps for the app store that will be set for the watch. The apps will be downloaded through a seperate device, and then linked with the watch through WiFi in order to use the applications.

With the release of this new product, the Nike+ Sportswatch and iPod Nano may have a new marketing rival. With it’s sleak design, gorgeous interface, and easily accessible app market, the WIMM Computer Watch will definantly be a success. The release date hasn’t been announced yet, and pricing can range from $200-$2000.

Apple TV now streams purchased TV shows, Vimeo videos

The 2nd Generation Apple TV can now stream live TV shows that were purchased on iTunes, and the Tv-streaming site Vimeo! This update was released on Monday, hoping to integrate some new ideas into the Apple TV and also keeping up new interests to the product. Now you can watch all of the Doctor Who you’ve always wanted to!

Tokyo Institute of Technology’s robot teaches itself to serve humans.

Robotics has made huge steps foward in the past few years. The problem with these robots were that they were programmed in order to do specific tasks. Fortunately, robotic engineers from the Tokyo Institute of Technology has designed a new robot that has the artificial intelligence to learn how to do new tasks, all by itself! The program, named SOINN, lets the machine build up its own knowledge and apply them to new tasks, while also making its own educated guesses according to its surroundings. This could lead to robots being used through our everyday lives, such as serving us a beverage!
